Conclusion of Henekis Stoddard's Interview
Henekis Stoddard’s father was arrested when she was three years old, and he remained
incarcerated until his death when she was 25. In September and October’s newsletters, we read about the effect this had on her as a child, how her mother, stepfather intentionally had a positive relationship with her father so she and her brother could as well, and the challenges that existed for the family because of the situation and the sometimes harmful responses from systems. Here is the conclusion of the interview with Henekis where she shares what actions or reactions helped her form into a healthy young woman amidst growing up with a loved one in prison.
